DevOps Engineer

Join us and help us structure the global web

Are you a trailblazing DevOps engineer with a knack for crafting code and mastering the art of system and server maintenance? Do you thrive in environments where excellence, innovation, and dynamism aren't just words but a way of life? If tackling challenges with a fiery passion for development and IT gets your gears turning, then you're in for a treat. This isn't just a position; it's your next big adventure in the tech realm!

What you'll do

At Dataprovider we're on the hunt for an experienced DevOps engineer. The role is predominantly focused on dev, accounting for about 60-70% of the responsibilities, while the remaining 30% involves ops tasks. In this dynamic role, you'll be instrumental in setting up, maintaining, and enhancing our systems and servers. You'll collaborate closely with team members, leading and guiding them in crafting the most efficient, secure, and rapid network solutions. Your development-centric role will involve keeping our applications up-to-date and proactively seeking opportunities to advance our platform, development environment, and release processes. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a development-heavy environment while still appreciating the nuances of system management.

As we’re building our own product, you’ll have freedom in how to approach certain aspects of your work. Also, your focus will be on precision and quality rather than speed and deadlines.

Who you are

You’re a real problem solver and team player with a positive mindset. In addition:

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer;
  • You have a degree in Information Technology or a related discipline;
  • You have experience with Linux, Databases, Kubernetes, Golang and Ansible;
  • You’re skilled in monitoring, deploying and setting up environments;
  • You have strong knowledge of concepts such as IP, routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, HTTP, SMTP and TLS;
  • You have excellent communication and analytical skills;
  • You have the legal rights to work in the Netherlands.

What we offer

This is your chance to join a dynamic tech company where you’ll be part of a very ambitious and smart team on a mission to structure the global web. You’ll get all the benefits of working for an agile scale-up such as a relaxed work environment, the possibility to work from home part of the time, easy-going colleagues and freedom in your work.

Additionally, we offer you:

  • 25 days of paid annual leave*

Dataprovider.com transforms the internet into an ever-growing structured database

The web is the world’s greatest information source - literally and figuratively. It contains more valuable information than all annual reports and trend analyses rolled into one. However, the web is also the world’s greatest source of information chaos: that’s why it’s difficult to extract qualitative data.

Founded in Groningen in 2012, Dataprovider.com has been structuring relevant digital actions into concrete insights that are used worldwide by leading organizations such as PayPal, Statistics Netherlands, United Nations, GoDaddy, Mollie, Takeaway.com and the investment industry. We’re growing fast and we’re always on the lookout for new talent!

    Our team

    Our team consists of a wide range of professionals: data scientists, data support engineers, developers, designers, account managers and the list goes on. It’s a blend of seasoned data engineers and developers who have been working here for years, and ambitious graduates who joined the team while they were students and have become an inseparable part of Dataprovider.com ever since.

    Our slogan is “Work hard, work together and help each other out, always.” When we aren’t working hard, we’re eating ice cream (anytime of the day or year) and playing board games, ping-pong or American pool.
