DevOps Engineer
Are you a DevOps engineer who keeps infrastructure stable, scalable and automated? Do you keep up with new tools and practices, and want to use them to run our platform? Are you ready for the next step in your career? Then we might be the right fit.
What you'll do
We’re looking for a DevOps engineer to work closely with our development team. Together you’ll keep our platform running at its best: reliable, consistent and ready to grow. We run everything on our own bare-metal infrastructure, so you’ll work hands-on with Kubernetes, automate the setup and management of our systems, and help keep the data stores and services behind our product healthy. Your work will directly affect how stable and fast our product is.
Because we build our own product, you’ll have freedom in how you approach parts of your work. We care more about precision and quality than about speed and deadlines.
Who you are
You're a medior or senior engineer with at least 3 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure
You have hands-on experience running and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production
You're proficient with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible
You're comfortable working on bare-metal infrastructure. You don't need hardware knowledge; we handle the physical side
Experience with Elasticsearch, ideally running and scaling clusters, is a strong plus
Experience administering MySQL and/or PostgreSQL is a strong plus
Experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers is a bonus
A deeper understanding of networking (routing, DNS, load balancing, troubleshooting) is a bonus
You're solution-oriented, analytical, and critical of your own work
You're legally allowed to work in the Netherlands
The wording shows how much each skill counts. Must-haves say "you have/you're proficient". Should-haves say "a strong plus". Nice-to-haves say "a bonus". If you want the post to be clearer, you could split the list into "What you bring" and "Nice to have".

Dataprovider.com transforms the internet into an ever-growing structured database
The web is the world’s greatest information source—literally and figuratively. It contains more valuable information than all annual reports and trend analyses rolled into one. However, the web is also the greatest source of information chaos: it is difficult to extract qualitative data.
Founded in Groningen in 2012, Dataprovider.com has been structuring relevant digital actions into concrete insights that are used worldwide by leading organizations such as PayPal, Statistics Netherlands, United Nations, GoDaddy, Mollie, Takeaway.com and the investment industry. We’re growing fast, and we’re always on the lookout for new talent!
Our team
Our team consists of a wide range of professionals: data scientists, data support engineers, developers, designers, account managers, and more. It’s a blend of seasoned data engineers and developers who have been working here for years, and ambitious graduates who joined the team while they were students and become an inseparable part of Dataprovider.com ever since.
Our motto is Work hard, work together, and help each other out, always. When we aren’t working hard, we’re eating ice cream (anytime of the day or year) and playing board games, ping-pong, or American pool.
