We are Dataprovider.com – a fast-growing data company with over 40 people. Our mission is to structure the world's biggest goldmine of data: the Internet. We index over 200 variables from more than 765 million hostnames across the globe and structure this web data in a clean and searchable database. Numerous notable companies, like GoDaddy, M Science, and PayPal, utilize our products and solutions for business intelligence, data analytics, and marketing research purposes.

What we do

Every month, our advanced proprietary software indexes hundreds of millions of web pages and processes and structures this information into more than 200 relevant data fields, grouped into categories such as geolocation, e-commerce, marketing, technical aspects, hosting and much more. PayPal, GoDaddy, M Science, Dun & Bradstreet, Statistics Netherlands are just a few of the leading companies in the payment, financial, domain and brand protection industries that are using our data. And our data is also used by Governments and statistical offices for in-depth research and tracking and measuring the digital economy.

What you'll do

Our experienced team will guide you through your traineeship, where you'll gain and develop skills in technology detection, front-end and back-end development, data science, content creation, and communication. It is a great way to kick off your career. 

Every three months, you'll be switching teams to learn more about all the different processes that take place in a company and even on the internet on a global scale. You will see four different teams this way. The traineeship is for one year. In the last month, we will discuss the possibilities of your future within Dataprovider.

You will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to every single project at Dataprovider.com in one way or another. You will receive full support and cooperation from our team of experienced developers and data scientists. Every team lead will assign and help you with a well-defined project. But we would also like to hear your ideas.

We offer a full-time (40-hour) traineeship for a year. After your traineeship, you might even get a position with one of the teams you have worked with over the past year. This is a position for graduates only, not students. We expect a full-time investment and offer you the possibility to find your passion in one of our teams. 

Who you are

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience with collecting, transforming and analyzing data. In addition:

• A completed education in a related field from University (WO) or Applied Sciences University (HBO); MSc is plus;

• A good and proactive communicator;

• Solid statistical knowledge;
  

• Programming skills (ability to work with Python and Jupyter is a plus);

• Experience with databases (experience with Elasticsearch is a plus);

• Keen attention to detail and analytical mindset;

• You have legal rights to work in the Netherlands;

• You live in the vicinity of Groningen: this isn’t a remote job but we offer the flexibility to work from home some of the time.

Our team consists of a wide range of professionals: data scientists, data support engineers, developers, designers, account managers and the list goes on. Most of the people at Dataprovider.com have been working here for long: they started while they were students and have been an inseparable part of the team ever since.
